Teaching & Supervision
I have experience teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate levels in health psychology, behaviour change, and population health. At University College London (UCL), I deliver lectures and seminars on behaviour change theory, intervention design, and the social determinants of health across MSc programmes including Behaviour Change, Physiotherapy, Social Determinants of Health, and Core Concepts in Population Health. I also supervise MSc dissertations, supporting projects that apply behavioural science to healthcare contexts, and collaborate with the NHS through UCL’s Behavioural Insights Exchange (BIX) to co-develop real-world research topics. In addition, I serve as a personal tutor, providing both academic and pastoral support to students.

Beyond UCL, on the MSc Modelling for Global Health at the University of Oxford, I deliver a full day of teaching titled “Extending Point Pattern Analysis in the Presence of Covariates and its Application to Obesity Research,” including a lecture, R Studio practical, and applied seminar. I have also worked as a Demonstrator for the BSc Psychology programme and as a Facilitator on the Changing Behaviour in Systems course, introducing participants to behavioural systems mapping using PRSM software.

Teaching
Regular Teaching Roles
Lecturer | MSc Modelling for Global Health – Oxford University
Deliver an annual lecture titled “Extending Point Pattern Analysis in the Presence of Covariates and its Application to Obesity Research”, based on methods developed in my PhD research, co-taught with Professor Adam Dennett. Teaching includes a 1-hour lecture, a 2-hour practical session using R Studio, and a 3-hour seminar to complete an applied data analysis exercise.

Lecturer | MSc Social Determinants of Health - University College London
Deliver an annual lecture titled “An Introduction to Behaviour Change Interventions” to MSc students. Responsible for designing and independently delivering a 2-hour lecture, developing an accompanying reading list, and leading a 1-hour seminar for a class of approximately 30 students.

Lecturer | MSc Core Concepts in Population Health - University College London
Deliver an annual lecture titled “Core Concepts of Behaviour Change” to MSc students. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering a 2-hour lecture, developing supporting reading materials, facilitating a 1-hour seminar, and providing exam preparation guidance.

Lecturer | MSc Physiotherapy - University College London
Deliver an annual lecture titled “Behaviour Change Theory” within the Clinical Exercise and Physical Activity module. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering a 2-hour lecture, developing accompanying reading materials, facilitating a 1-hour seminar, and designing homework exercises to reinforce learning.

MSc dissertation supervisor | MSc Behaviour Change - University College London
Serve as both primary and secondary supervisor for MSc students on the Behaviour Change programme. To date, I have supervised four dissertations, providing academic guidance, pastoral support, and assessment. Supervised projects have focused on behaviour change in healthcare contexts (e.g., oral iron supplementation during pregnancy, medication adherence).
In 2023/24, I collaborated with the NHS through UCL’s Behavioural Insights Exchange to co-develop dissertation topics. One such project involved a randomised experimental study examining factors influencing uptake of NHS lung cancer screening invitations.
Personal Tutor | Multiple MSc Programmes - University College London
Act as a personal tutor for four students per cohort, providing ongoing academic and pastoral support. Responsibilities include supporting students’ academic development, signposting specialist resources, and offering guidance on wellbeing, university life, and study skills.

Ad-hoc Teaching Roles
Demonstrator | BSc Psychology – University College London | February 2023
Invited to support undergraduate students during lab meetings focused on experimental design and data collection. Worked with small groups of 8–9 students to develop practical research skills and enhance understanding of empirical methods.
Facilitator | Changing behaviour in systems - University College London | October 2022
Served as a facilitator for the Advanced Systems Mapping training course, led by Professor Susan Michie and Professor Robert West. The one-day course integrated principles of behaviour change and systems thinking to address behavioural challenges within complex systems (e.g., organisations, communities). Responsible for introducing approximately 40 participants to the principles of behavioural systems mapping and guiding them through the use of the PRSM software using worked examples.
